okay im at my ropes end and ready to take my car to a shop (bite my tounge) okay hopefully someone can save me from comiting that sin! on my 88 (nothing is stock except dist) the tach wire when traced back to the computer is one of three wires that plug into the back of the dist. were does the tach wire that goes into the top of the cap next to the bat. terminal come from if its the tach filter then were does the tach filter come from i need that wire or my msd will not work! thank you to anyone who can help!
The tach filter was held in place by one of the bellhousing to engine bolts on the driver side. It looks like this. I believe the metal bracket is the ground for the filter.
I f you are using an aftermarket tach , there's a terminal on the MSD box for a direct hook-up. Some aftermarket tachs require an adapter available from MSD.
