C4 Tech/Performance L98 Corvette and LT1 Corvette Technical Info, Internal Engine, External Engine

Need help on clutch selection.

Default Need help on clutch selection.

Clutch on the blown 95 slips pretty bad. I want to use a Camaro setup.
I understand that the flywheel has to be machined and some other minor things have to be done. Any advice regarding source, brand and experience will be appreciated .

wow. Your post makes me think your heard a rumour or something... and are trying to confirm it's accuracy.

A bit scary, really...

However, the project isn't that bad. The Fbody flywheel needs to be both machined .090" and match balanced to the old DM.

Bogus can I ask why you don't like Spec clutches?
I still need to get one and I'm leaning towards Spec right now.

When I did my SPEC clutch, I was one of several who was very disappointed with the QC. Mine didn't work. They shipped the wrong pressure plate (ZR1) and all they could do is cuss me out on email!

I will never (consciously) buy a SPEC clutch again. I suspect I did when I bought one from Carolina Clutch, and it's slipping already. That's about 2.5 years and 40k miles. Never again.
