Hood stuck shut

Used a Clothes hanger
I bent a clothes hanger 90 % for about 1/2 inch or more and went down by the windshield pushed the rubber down and moved it around and was able to pull back on the lever and then it opened yay,

I've made one, but don't know how far in it needs to go to try to hit the release latch. can someone give me a dimension as to how far that band mid-way is from the hook end?

Get one of these 2X New Emergency Hood Release Cable Kit For Corvette C4 1984-1996 RP604802 | eBay some here have even made their own. Much quicker than fishing that that tool around hoping to get it in right spot. Great having confidence that you can get your hood open quickly if the gable ever breaks. BTW you are posting to a thread that started in 2007
