Default Head Swap problem

Hi to all,I installed a set of bow tie iron phase 3 heads on my 85,the problem I'm having is the sensor for the pass. side head is smaller dia. than the new heads opening,I made up a adapter but the problem is it hits the header and the end of the sensor is not all the way in the head,I think the sensor is for the fan or aux. fan,any ideas,Ive looked around at some auto parts for a slightly larger dia sensor but no luck so far.I hope to get some help from you guys on this,TIA

With no idea what you've made, it is hard to imagine why you have problems. A simple pipe thread bushing should do the trick. That is your auxiliary fan switch and it should make little difference if it doesn't protrude quite as far into the head as before.

Brass bushing. Shouldn't extend your sensor more than a 1/4'' from stock postion. Coolant will still find it's way to the temp sensor.
