If your just removing the plenum, all you need is a 3/8" ratchet, 6" extension, 16mm wrench (open end) for the brake booster vac, and a #40 torx bit. Remove the EECS vac, CCV hose, coolant hose, vacuum lines under the TB (one on my 86, but think there might be two on the 87), disconnect the TPS and IAC, and pull the HVAC and air diverter vacs and label. Remove the plenum bolts and mark where they go. Remove the brake booster vacuum at the left rear. Either pull up and wiggle on the plenum or use a rubber hammer and tap it first. Pull the pleunum up and disconnect the MAT sensor. I recommend using Felpro gaskets to install dry. I had a hard time finding just the plenum and runner gaskets and a fellow member helped me with that. Autozone here wanted $40 for the whole intake including the intake manifold gasekets.

No pictures, but maybe it will help.

If you need the two plenum to runner gaskets let me know; I have a set of new gaskets and will send em if you send your mailing address. My email is jgkov@msn.com.

I don't have a new TB to plenum gasket but, if you disconnect the TB, you can likely reuse that gasket.

It also helps if you loosen one side of the runners bottom bolts, will make the gasket installation easier. I used a very small coating of #2 perm on one side of the gasket for the runners to plenum just to hold in place...
Pics are a wonderful re-install tool
