Borla Muffler
I'm Wanting To Replace Stock Mufflers With Borla Ones I Want More Aggressive Sound Then Stock But Dont Want Resonance Not Much Talk About Borla But Alot About Corsa,flowmaster, Magnaflow I Like The Factor Tips That Borla Offers.

I had a Borla cat-back on my last '94 LT1. It was too quiet for me. At idle and low RPM, it sounded stock at higher RPMs and WOT is sounded good, but not loud at all. Not even close to loud, just a little deeper than stock.
I have a Corsa on my C5, and I love it! It sounds great. Very aggressive.
I just bought a set of Magnaflow for my current '94. I'll find out how they sound in a few months when I put the new engine in.

I have a Borla cat back on my 1985 & I like it. Excelent quality & not loud in the cabin with the top on. I also had a Borla on my Miata & I liked it. It got a lot louder on that car when I replaced the cat with a free flow. I replaced the original exhaust from the cat back on the Corvette because it looked so bad.

I had Flowmasters which sounded a whole lot better than stock but had a lot of resonnance at 1500-2000 rpm. My oldest grandson talked me into some cat back Borla Stingers to go with my Stainless Works headers. Now it is L O U D!! Kind grows on you though...

I have Borla on my 1996 Impala SS and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I could see why on a Corvette you would want Corsa, Thrush, Magnaflow, or Flowmaster, but on an Impala it gives a very low, but extremely agressive sound. Everyone knows Corvettes are fast,... with the Impala, what makes the Borla great, is that most people are just unsure! 
The hear the agressiveness but there just not sure what the cars got under the hood. 
Its quieter then my factory system on the highway, which is great (this is because of the low tone,.. it appears quiet) and when you punch it, it does roar but not extremely loudly like flowmaster would. The sound is also very crisp and clean unlike flowmaster. I love it, and if thats what your looking for Borla is the way to go... but on a vette I say one of the louder systems.
Look into Spintech,... my buddys got it on his LS1 GTO - sounds awesome... loud as hell too!

I have Borlas on my 85 and they have a nice muscle car sound. They are loud and have some resonance at certain RPM's but not so much that it bothers me. No trouble listening to music or carrying on a conversation.

I have the Borla Stinger catback system on my vert and I love it. As far as tips go.. I chose this one because I don't know of any others who have these and yet it sounds good. Here is a pix...

Installed the cat back system from Borla on my 1990 and noted a deeper exhaust note that was very pleasing. Good harmonics at freeway speeds.
Installed the Corsa cat back system on my 1989 6 speed car. The Corsa is somewhat louder and has a different harmonic sound that I prefer over the Borla.
Both systems are well engineered with either being a good choice.
