Stay away from Astro. The catalogs use Astro as well.

I bought a Melrose at Corvettes at Carlisle this year after seeing the Astro tops. I know how everybody hates them and I just wanted to see for myself....they are junk!! The Melrose top looks as good as the GM that I took off, and it fits just as good!

I bought an Astro top 2 years ago on EBAY in new condition for my 1990 and its been great. I have had no problems with it and it still looks like new. I think a lot of people badmouth Astro because they need to justify spending twice as much on their top.

Melrose is probably the best if you're looking for an acrylic top. I don't know of anyone who makes replacement fiberglass tops so you're best bet for one of those is ebay, a swap meet ot the Parts For Sale section of this or other forums.
The tops are all the same size but there were three styles of front mounting hardware used:
84 - early 86; late 86 - 88, & 89 - 96. Some of the catalogs sell adaptor kits if you find a good buy on one of the earlier tops.
