Default 64cc Vortex heads 87 vette

Does any one know if the GM 330HP base motor will bolt right in? Will the runners fit? 9:1 compression will I need a reprogramed chip? You guys and gals have been very helpfull I am learning a lot. Thank You

If the motor uses vortec heads you will need the SDPC Vortec TPI base manifold. the rest would be a drop in affair. You will need your water pump and distributor...and exhaust obviously. Depending on wether it is Internally or Externally balanced determines wether or not you will need to use your existing damper and flexplate/flywheel...

as far as i can tell everything else would be a drop in affair and yes, i would get a custom chip for it...

Manifold choice as the man said above.

'87 is 1 pce seal crank ; same as Vortec crate engine. Crank bolt pattern , flywheel size, balance same on both

The scoggin dickey baseplate is about $400. Another option is to get the heads drilled for use with the stock intake bolt pattern.
