Not unique to FL, as the same exists in Alaska, Colorado and Kalifornia! TG the web offers some good resources for screening. While I had good experiences with a former LaHabra, CA-based CF vendor, another dismantler in Anaheim/Placentia area was a ripoff, then defended by his fellow vendor pal in CF posts. Such folks make CL look great!

AH! So since neither were working, it was a problem. Gotcha. I don't check the wife's paycheck regularly so I often wondered how, hypothetically, someone could get into trouble if the spouse did something naughty. I mean, if she makes 6 figure and suddenly an 8 figure deposit comes in, sure. OTOH, if she took $500 cash bribes, it might be hard for me to be sure it was mostly honest and partly dishonest.
