1990 Roadster replaced the L98 engine with a GM 350 cu. in. 335 hp/380 lb torque, runs okay not great however better than previously.
Problem is now the climate control lights flash after about ten minutes after start up, outside temperature reading jumps from -13 degrees then to +50 degrees constantly. Then with inside temperature set at 72 degrees blows hot air for ten minutes or so then switches to very cold AC, plus the heated mirror light begins to flash. Electrical or vacuum?

Electrical. Remove the control head and use a Q tip and electrical contact cleaner and swipe all of the pins on the connector. Plug it back in and try it, that might fix your problems. If not, take the control head apart and remove the circuit board by pressing in on the rear edge of the circuit board and simultaneously pulling on the board. Then use your Q tip on the circuit board edge connectors (no eraser, no abrasives). Look at the solder pads that the flat springs make contact with, if there is a depression in the solder, reflow (resolder) the solder pads and look at all of the solder joints and reflow any that do not look like good joints. Reassemble.
Yes, remove the climate control from the dash. There is a plug from the wiring harness that plugs into the rear. Yes you can use alcohol, but electrical contact cleaner is better. I would try alky first, it is good enough.
