The 96 (OBDII) is different from the rest of the C4's as it has 4 O2 sensors. You have 2 precat senors and 2 postcat sensors. The PCM sees all 4, but the first two are the important ones. The other two monitor the cat function.

A spark plug is a spark plug and doesn't matter where you purchase them as long as they are correct for your engine. Many things can cause the O2 sensors to report errornous readings.

What problem are you having with them (rich, lean) and which one(s)?

Bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 2, and bank 2 sensor 1. I replace the 2 sensors before the cats. So bc they are from autozone its doesnt matter?

You heard wrong. The brand of spark plug you are using has nothing to do with Ho2 DTCs.

I don't have a refrence to the 96 codes...as for what they mean. But, you state that both precat sensors and one post cat sensors is giving the codes.

A scan would help, so we could see the O2 voltages and BLM.

Do you have an exhaust leak before the sensors?
Are the connections good?
Is the wiring good?

A FSM (factory service manual) would help diagnose the problem along with a scan tool. Not much help if you don't have either. But I would make sure the sensors are in the exhaust pipe good and the connection is tight and the wires are not burn on the exhaust shorting the circuits. You should have heated O2 sensors as well...stock.

disconnect the battery for a minute and reconnect and start the engine and see if the codes come back. If so, you do have a problem.

also, tell us how your car is running?
-black smoke coming out of exhaust?
- poor idle ?
- sluggish or bogging acceleration ?

If both your pre-cat O2 sensors are truely shot, I would expect that you engine is running very poorly....
