Flywheel diameter Question




This raises the old question of my flywheel. Some may remember that the block ended up being 2 bolt block and that the previous owner did some weird thing with spacers between the block and the bellhousing. Initally, I thought the flywheel was the problem that caused the previous owner to use spacers between the bellhousing and the block, however, the flywheel is in fact a dual mass FW, so it fit the vettes bellhousing spacing set up. The clutch is a new Valeo unit.
Three questions:
1. Did any of the dual mass flywheels vary in thickness?
2. I seem to remember that the single mass/f-body flywheel was .090" thicker that the dual mass, correct?
3. Any other spacing issues between the block and bellhousing?
