Default 1995 HVAC question

In my 95 coupe the outside temp is locked on 50 deg and the selector light flashes at start up (does not matter which setting still flashes)
The heat and ac are still operational, anyone know where to start?

Thanks for the info.

Remove the climate control head and swipe the pins on the wiring harness plug with a Q tip and electrical contact cleaner and plug it back in to deterine if it works properly. If not, take the control head apart and remove the circuit board by compressing the board at each side of the exposed board in the rear of the chassis which releases the board and allows it to be pulled out. Then wipe the board fingers and the solder pads the the springs make contact with. If the solder pads have flats in them from the constant pressure of the springs, then reflow (resolder) them, clean and reassemble and replace the control head.

Default outside temp is locked on 50 deg

Sounds like the ambient air temperature sensor is kaput or disconnected. It's located near the lower front passenger side of the radiator.

Default thanks

Thanks for the info from both of you, both are helpful, my 95 was an unhooked ambient sensor, but my grand sport is in need of the other repair
I hope. Otherwise I will have to buy a climate control unit, anyway thanks to both of your replies.

A flashing Light should indicate a Trouble Code. Go here and if there are any on your Gran Sport, repost: https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=193&TopicID=2
