I'm having some made. Tried to sell them but don't have the $$ to become supporting vendor. Plus I'm only getting 10 done.

I don't know how old this thread is, but I'd thought I'd throw my 2 cents in since I wanted to eliminate my noisy Smog Pump. I have an 84 with the dreaded Crossfire Injection. I went to Summit Racing, and they had a bracket that I would have gladly paid the almost $60 for, but it had the wrong pulley (I needed the one for the grooved side of the belt, the pulley on the eliminator bracket was for the smooth side of the belt). So after looking at it for a bit I decided to try and take the Smog Pump out of the bracket, and get a shorter belt. The car comes with an 88 inch belt, and I put an 84 inch in it's place. It was kinda tight (I had to pry it on) before I relaxed the tensioner onto the belt, but when I did, it still took up a little slack. After I test ran the engine, I fabbed up a small block plate that goes over the hole on the tube that attached to the Pump itself. It isn't pretty, but it works. Total cost for a replacement Pump, about $90 from Auto Zone. Total cost for my solution, just under $25 from Auto Zone for a new belt, plus the scrap piece of aluminum I had in my garage. I think if I had it to do over again, I'd opt for the 85 inch belt, since it would be easier to put on. The belt routing is the same as it was, just now there is no Smog Pump to go around. And I wouldn't swear to it, but I think the car is running just a little better now, or maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me. Either way, I no longer have a noisy, metal on metal squeaky, worn out smog pump on the car.
