Thought I'd run this by you guys and see if anyone's come across this before. I'm getting a road noise, like that of a bad wheel bearing, for about the first 10 miles of highway driving. The noise sounds like it's coming from the left rear and is more noticeable from 55 mph on up. After about 10 miles it just fades out and the car rides as smooth as it ever has.
I just replaced all 4 wheel bearings recently, the 2 rears are from wheel bearings Inc. Did the bearings about 3 weeks ago and there's several hundred miles on the new bearings, so I'm ruling out a *break in* period.
It's got to be wheel bearing related and all I can think of is a bad or tight new bearing. Any ideas? (Half shaft u-joints are new, hub splines were cleaned and coated with anti-seize, new teflon coated washers, everything torqued to spec, 180 ft. lbs on the axle nut.)
