gripforce brakes
I have an 89 coupe. The previous owner told me he put on Hawk pads. The rear pads were very thin so it was time to do some replacing.
I got the cross-drilled/slotted rotors with Hawk pads and added $95 for steel lines. The holes were all chamfered (previous posts complained otherwise). They weren't all exactly the same, but not too far off either. The car looks better and stops better now.
I spent the morning installing the rotors and pads. Then my buddy came out to help flush the fluid and install the lines.
It was raining all day but we went for a test drive anyway to break them in.
Stopping power has greatly improved. Everywhere I went, I was stopping way ahead of where the car would normally halt. Even in the rain! The pedal feels more solid too.
So far the brakes are great, I just hope the rotors hold up.
