Default I newbee here in this section.....

but I have been on the forum in the C3 tech for some 8 years now...since '99....anyway....

I have problems with my TPI setup and computers, and programs, and so forth....tired of it all, I was running a 1227730 for a long time, and went through some 4 chips with only ONE of them seeming to run right...the rest were/are junk.....

so the question is....I am thinking of upgrading to a later C4 computer, and junkyard wiring ends so I can make my own harness up, and use two 02 sensors....

I am running a TPIS ZZ9 cam for some ten years now, the source of speed density problems I used to have a 1227730 computer, and so need some parts.....

a decent sized MAF, some oval to round adaptor flex fitting, as the intake is going over the rad top....
and of course a late C4 type computer for install inside my '72 here, and then we get into programming....

I would like a stock setup burn, but need to know what sort of computers interface is required and where do I do for programs??

sorry for the long post, but I need drive this car again before I kick off....

welcome to the C4 scan and tune section!

you'll find that your not the only one to have trouble with mail order tune/chips.
the good news is the 730 ECM you have should handle the job easily.
as long as its working correctly (wiring, sensors, ect.) it can be tuned to run a seriously modified motor.

first off you'll have to decide if you want to learn how to tune it yourself.
its alot of reading/learning and you'll need some equipment to do it (will cost about $400-$500 depending on what you use). all the info needed is available on the internet, the scan and tune sticky (top of main page) is a great place to start.

If your not into the idea of DIY, then I recommend taking your car to a good tuner, not mail order. things go alot faster when they have the car right in front of them.
since you live in FL. you might check a place called Formato's.
I've had dealings with them and they seem like nice people.
(I'll see if I can find a link)

(well there is no link available, but Jeremy Formato aparently is still tuning chips)
