No single plug has been proven or accepted as best. Buy the ones on sale and call it a good day. Extra money will buy beer

i never heard of delkco brand. did you mean ac delco? also, your friend is hammered up on glue hits.
copper ac delco's are excellent for your application, as are ngk and autolite. they're cheap and effective.
i agree with pete k.....just find any plug on sale. you'll NEVER know the difference
All plug companies make all different lengths of plugs for all sorts of different applications. If the plugs you have are too short, it isn't because they are the wrong brand.

The right part number of the least expensive brand.
Be wise. Save your money for college. When you hit 21.....then you can buy beer
Canadians are more responsible so they let us buy beer at 19 (18 in Alberta)
Save your money and buy the correct AC delco plug, then send me the savings and I will buy beer.

It looks like you have an 86 and if you go by the plug spec in the owners manual, it will tell you to get the one for the iron head engine. The iron head plugs are way too short for the aluminum head engines. Don't ask me how I know this..................
So if you have the right plug for your heads, any decent name brand will do. In the old days of carbs and points, plugs didn't last so long, but with injection and electronic fuel injection, I always used AC standard plugs, have never had one foul and they always look great when I change them.
