Resident A/C Experts, help me!
On this 87 I'm looking at buying, the A/C...well, has a problem. It's the C68, electronic A/C. I turned the fan up to 6, and the temp down to 60º, and it blew hard, just not very cold. Any ideas? Could the compressor be bad, or just out of refrigerant. My uncle deals in A/C for businesses, and he said the compressor is probably bad. Any help is appreciated! :D

If it's out of freon the fan will work but the compressor clutch will not ingage. There's a pressure sensor that keeps the clutch from working without freon so you don't damage the compressor. If this is true then it definitely has a leak somewhere and the most likely culprit is the compressor seals.
