fan switch problem
i just recieved my 180 fan switch and 160 thermostat. i read the directions for the fan switch and it told me to pull the temp sensor from the rear two pistons on the passenger side. i did this, when i started the car up it and let it warm up the temp gauge went all the way up. i looked in the directions and it says that i have replaced the wrong sensor. I just installed this engine back in and i cant recall of any other sensors on the passenger side between those cylinders. can comone tell me which sensor i replace, that is which one is for the fan switch? is it the one on the driver side visable from the engine bay? btw its a 89 corvette with l98 rebuilt

The aux fan switch/sensor is between plugs 1 and 3 on the drivers side on a 1989, if that's what you are looking for. The main fan is controlled by the ECM.
