Is this a code or what??
Last night on the way home from the Darrell Starbird National Rod & Custom show I noticed something flashing on and off periodically in the speedometer display on my 90 coupe. It looks like a code for something: 5y5. Has anyone else seen this or know what it is??? 
I was on cruise control running 75mph.
Would appreciate any info?

I had the exact same symptoms, SYS would flash 2 or 3 times, then go back to normal. I had suspected the battery for quite some time, and when I finally replaced it, no more flashing SYS , and much faster engine crank during start.....

5Y5 is to the CCM (Module 1 DTCs) what SERVICE ENGINE SOON is to the ECM (Module 4 DTCs).
Ive had a weak battery lots of times and never had the 5Y5 flash for that. Get the codes out of it and diagnose it properly.
