Hello new to the Forum so dont shoot but Has any one tried to put a 89 camaro gauge cluster in a 84 vette. It looks possible and just wanted to see if it had been tried.
i'm not sure but i think that would be a lot of work because the gauges are all electronic from the ecm i believe instead of mechanical gauges i may be wrong but that would be the problem i see in it
the only thing mechanical that I can see is the speedo. But the signal from the ecm might be different and wont work the gauges correctly.Dont know will find out one way or another.

I've also done the complete conversion using 88 bird gauges and its not just a plug and play setup, complete rewire to vss control unit, redoing the gauges to fit the c4 cluster setup, lighting, etc... I've built 4 already....

Or you could use Camaro sending units. The ECM only gives the fuel mileage.
Is it possible to squeeze an oil temp gauge into the T-Bird setup? I've already converted to a carb, so I've lost the other gauges that aren't included, but I like the oil temp.
What's it cost to switch over to a setup like that? Do you sell any complete units?
Whats wrong with your original cluster? Some of them are easy fixes.
All the lcd's are faded out and thats 300 bones I can get a dash at a junkyard for 30 bucks and I like analog,I guess I'm old school, heck I didnt like digital watches

The bird gauges come with oil, water, battery, gas. Just in parts for bird gauges, vss, ecm connector, led's, wiring , mount material, etc can run from $200-$300 in just parts alone... construction and testing takes time, + the addl cost of the c4 dash plate to the analog cluster for plug and play options. Something like this is not for the faint of heart and not an option to lower costs...it is by far cheaper than a replacement digi dash setup...
Ok heres the deal the vette cluster is 7" X 16" the camaro is 8" X 16 with the bottom inch being dummy lights.Seems like a much easier swap than a firechicken oops I mean bird the only thing is the speedo is mach. and will have to run a cable and put a gear in the tailhousing.
This just in a 90 camaro has a ele speedo Things just got a little easyer
