this is a long time project finnally coming together. i am about to order the vortech forward rotation t trim kit from blowerworks. has any body used this gaseous intercooling kit, and what is your opinion on it. it is going on a 96 lt4, have built motor sitting on stand 8:50 to 1. any comments are fine i am just trying to get some feedback. thanks
I'd probably check out some of the archives. There's actually several of us running around with punched out lt4's with vortechs. Pretty much all of us are running water/alky injection.
Also, I am in the process of installing a caroll standard rotation kit with the ysi blower. I previously used the vortech kit. One thing I noticed is that I was able to get more tension on the belt with the vortech kit. I'm not sure if this is going to be an issue yet; I'll post results once the car is running. More tension equals less belt slip (provided equal belt wrap and belt width). But, all in all, the carroll kits, both vortech and his standard kit, are leaps and bounds ahead of the stock vortech kit.
I've run the H2O injection from Carroll, now Blowerworks for probably 8 years now with no issues. I sprung for the custom tank that goes in teh rear fascia and I now only fill with water/methanol about ounce very 3 months.
For injection flued, get the Mal-mart Supertech W/S washer fluid. Perfect pre-mix and under $1 per gallon

The SCR that you have built will make the car somewhat "lazy" as a daily driver. And... is only required if you are going to put a bunch of boost in there, which I do not think is going to happen with a t-trim on a built LT4.
xxOH injection will work fine, but the reserve capacity for heat dissipation in the summer months in TX is somewhat limited.
