I have just installed a DeWitt radiator and 160 t-stat, and I have to say it works really good. I also boughtva hypertech cool switch which screws into the sife of the block on the right rear of my 92 that is supposed to turn the fans on earlier.
There is one thing I don't understand; if the computer controls when the fans come on and off, how does the switch do this? Or does the switch merely tell the computer to turn the fans on earlier? I am torn between using the switch and having my computer flashed to do the same thing.
Do you guys have suggestions on this? And thanks for your help!

Thanks Pete. I have seen earlier discussions where the computer controls both fans, at least on the LT1, I think. I am in uncharted waters here. I seem to remember members doing it both ways and am trying to determine which way is best.

ECM drives the fan relays by grounding them at whatever temperature is programmed into it. The switch does the same thing, but at a lower temp and you simply splice into the ECM side of the Relays to make it work. You don't want to eliminate the ECM, as it also controls the fans when a/c is selected, only at a much lower temp (generally about 100 to 120 degrees at the condensor). You will give up fan control at cruise as the switch is a permanent path to ground. Most ECM's remove ground from the relays at 40 mph or so and generally offer better all around control of operating temps, but whatever you choose to do is up to you.

The switch/sensor I bought came with complete instructions based each year it was for. If yours didn't, maybe you can download online from a Corvette vendor like Mid America.
