I am not aware of anyone reporting having a 4L80E in an '88.
Joby installed one in his '84. Bacardioil has one in his '93.

from my estimation, the C4 takes a transmission the same way, so an 88 would be real close to the same as any year...

Well... yea... duh... but the 4L80E doesn't have the right tail shaft housing... There is a kit to adapt it...

Is there anyone around here who has converted from a late model C4 4L60E to a built 4L80E. I would like to get some info on how difficult the switch is and what is involved.
Thanks

Raptor has a conversion kit but I have not heard of anyone using it yet. I'm not sure if it still works with the electronics either. ??

Read and call the phone number $700.00 for the tail shaft,$1000.00 for the computer programmer and 5K for the trans.
Raptor has it all.

Considering the cost of several broken transmissions in a high horsepower car, that could be a bargain.
Anyone done this yet?
