Default Finally!!!!......

Well so it seems from today's drive, nice 72f DRY weather, and a run through the hood, and on the highway, and then through traffic the damn vette for the first time in years now....make that since 01 early 02, when it was down for that major mod fest/overhaul....and of course since then the ditching of the 700r4 tranny for the 200 4r, and the aluminum 113 cast '88 vette heads instead of the old junk L48 style iron heads.....

I suspect, but can not prove there was a wiring error in the computer harness from the rewire job I did in '02 or so....I SUSPECT this from the clues off the old wiring,.....I would have never suspected it to be that way, the fault was not seen by the computer, except as crappy running a super insidious fault involving the grounding of the O2 sensor circuit at the computer end, I THINK I used an injector ground wire for doing double duty, IF so, that would explain some of the problems I have had....

I did not know there was such a radical plug change between the iron heads, and the newer aluminum heads....I just plugged them in...eh....

well, that was the final straw.....Alvin here in the addy notes above ... Chips@pcmforless, he suggested doing a plug change, did that this morning, they are a super bitch to get to in this car, most any vette for that matter.....but I bit the bullett and did it.....

runs like a brand new car, idle is great, steady, tranny is much happier, if I take lockup controll away from the computer, which locks the converter at ~40 mph.....and make it manual, the thing locks up in 2nd gear and will lug down to less than 1000 rpm's and pull nice and even all the way up even at light throttle on level pavement....something that's NEVER been even close to possible before....it's been my 'acid test' for a long time.....

Thanks, Alvin, you better than the average tuner, by FAR......

What made me rewire the computer install this time 'round was my attempt at a Mega Squirt install, which due to programming/comm problems with any other computer I had around 4 of them....I gave it up...and put the old 1227730 MAP computer in there...speed density...
