Need Starter Help. How Hard to Replace?
My starter has been dragging the last few weeks. Well, here I am at work and the stupid thing doesn't make any noise at all. I'll leave it here overnight, but do I need to have it towed home, or can I replace it in the parking lot tomorrow? :cry

I did mine in my '86, took about an hour or so, getting to the bolts isn't so tough, it's turning it everywhich way to get it out of the jigsaw puzzle hole. Just remember which way you had to turn it to get it out when you go to put it back in. If you have a jack and a jackstand to put on that side you should be able to do it in the parking lot, that's where I did mine.

I took a look underneath. Doesn't look pleasant. Think I'll have it towed home where I have my tools. I usually drive a different car to work, but it was such a nice day today that I thought I would give the Vette some exercise. :sad:
