Ok so Im gonna be doing a tune up on my own in about two weeks let me know if Im missing anything
Spark Plugs
Plug wires
fuel filter
air filter
oil change
cleaning out radiator area
radiator coolant flush (prob. gonna throw in a 180 thermostat too)
look at serpentine
coolant hoses
if I didnt miss anything is there any diff. b/w a set of Taylor wires and Mallory and MSD? I mean I can save 60 bucks alone on wires as well are there any differences b/w the plugs and even the air filter? I know K&N is king, I will probably cut the lid while Im at this, but does it make that much of a difference for 60 bucks over a fram? thanks guys!

I used Taylor on mine, they fit well. I liked their cost, no troubles. A K&N would be fine if you want to save money by cleaning it. If you don't know the history of the car, I'd flush and fill the brakes and rear end to.
What year is the car? You may want to consider new coolant hoses and a serp belt also. Set your minimum air adjustment,Timing , TPS voltage and you should be good to go

L98 - Passenger side plugs are easier if you unbolt the AC compressor and remove the bracket (IIRC from when I had an 88)
LT1 - passenger side wasn't too bad, its real tight in there getting to the #8 plug. Driver side, remove alternator, remove AC compressor, remove brackets holding the ASR, remove support brackets on the AC & Alternator bracket, remove rubber AIR hoses. After that its simple to remove and replace the plugs. I used Taylor wires to replace the stock wires (8mm fits perfectly in the wire looms).
Don't forget the anti-sieze on the plug threads and the dielectric grease in the plug boots.
If its a double sided serpentine like my 92 NAPA has them, my old belt was missing some chunks out of the ribs so I'm replacing it.
Air filter - leave the lid alone and just drop in a new one. Cutting the lid and putting in a K&N doesn't buy you much.
Pulling the radiator, cleaning it, straightening the fins will improve cooling. Put in the stock range "engine warming valve" (Thermostat), going cooler won't help much and might cause you to fail emissions. The car was designed to run hot.
awesome keep the info comin! I hadnt even thought of the differential and it idles fine so I figured the tps and iac were ok? It is a 94 auto by the way will fix my profile! thanks!
oh yeah I keep adding info as I wont see the car for another two weeks and this is my running list. I live in MD and the car lives in Tx for a few more months...I was also curious about U joints when should I check those out?
