dash backlighting problem

dash backlighting problem
The backlighting isnt working in my dashboard. This includes the a/c, radio, headlight switch, etc. The instrument cluster backlighting is working great and adjusts fine. My vette is a 91 automatic. I have checked all my fuses. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I checked the dimmer switch and it works perfectly. It seems that the purple wire with a white stripe is the problem. As it reads no connection to power or ground. Are there any other components involved in the dimming operation that could fail?

A little additional information. It seems that the radio at one time has been stolen from my car. When I removed the aftermarket one installed there was no factory radio wiring including the antenna. Could this be the cause of my issue? I really need a diagram.
