Default She fired right up!!! Yahooooo!

Hey guys,

After working on putting a new crate motor and Pete Kane tranny in the car, she fired on about 2 revolutions.
That was the most stressful morning I've had in a long time! Ran it for 20 minutes between 2000 and 2500 rpms, and most everything seems good. After we eat lunch we will set the timing and take her for a ride.

Thanks to all for their help. Thanks Pete for the emails and phone calls. You're the best!

Hosed the dust off and took her to town. Shifts great Pete, thank you!

Outstanding!
The worst is over. Pretty stressful 1/2 hour. Triple check the fluid leaks. Especially fuel.

I kinda like firing a new engine. I always think to myself "It's alive...It's alive!" like from the old Frankenstein movie. Is a little stressfull hoping all is well though but I just love bringing them to life.

Took her to town and bought a case of oil and filter....about 15 miles total, and damn she ran great!
Can you feel the vibration? With the new motor and tranny I felt like I was one with her! WHAT A FEELING!!!!!!!

Very nice, when i dropped new 383 and new tranny both built by pete k, fired right up in first crank and idled by itself, my mechanic just look at me and say wow, till today after 16k miles car never stopped working, very stout tranny and motor, infact i beat the hell out of it on drag strip too, still no problems at all, tha nk pete k. sami
