How many different 4+3 transmissions
Can anyboby tell me how many different 4+3 transmissions there were from 1984-1988, when they changed from year to year and how to tell the difference. I have a 1988 and am looking for a spare. thanks

I am aware of two, the MH4 and MK2. (Watch out, I might have transposed the digits). The transmission code should be on the sticker under your console door. Look for one of the above.

If you are looking for a spare. I would call Brian at SK Speed http://www.skspeed.com They are the Guru's on this transmission and have them instock. If you want just the 4 speed portion. The have 2 versions. One is $1050.00 plus core (built to oem specs) and one that is $1250.00 plus core (better than stock). If you want the OD unit too. I believe they are also $1250.00 plus the core. Double check with brian on the prices and avalibility, but they are the ones who bought all the Doug Nash Stuff when it went under in the early 90's.
