What have you done to it recently? Did you bleed the slave cylinder? Will it go into any gear? Will it go into gear when the car isn't running? Was it working fine before you removed it?

Seems like a lot of questions, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out once you answer them.

I would think that there is a problem with Linkage if you can't get in to go in any gear.

Are you saying that you can't get it to go in gear while the motor is off and you are gently rocking the car back and forth?

If that is the case then Linkage.

If it is just not depressing the Clutch when the motor is running then more digging is needed

if it's the same transmission, it leaked dry... it could be anything.

There's supposed to be a pushrod from the slave cylinder to the fork. It kinda tapers at the end of that touches the slave. It isn't actually held in by anything but the rubber boot. Lay under the car and have someone depress the clutch pedal and see if it's moving the fork properly.
