What's the trick to adjusting the comp 875-16 lifters? I noticed TJwongs coments about being a pain to adjust. I've tried 1/4 and 1/2 preload and called comp, they told me 1/8. Who has some experience with these? Thanks.

Gary, I normally set these with the engine is hot. Loosen the rocker arm, then tighten until the rocker lash is at zero, then tighten the nut one flat of the nut. That equates to 1/6th of a turn of the nut which is equal to .008" preload. That is how I have been doing these lifters and have had no issues. However the one thing about these lifters is that they need to be perodically checked. Comp will tell you that these are not meant for street use, their intention for these was to use them in competition. I have since stopped using these lifters all together. I have replaced them with the new GM LS7 lifters and have not looked back since. They are much more forgiving and are meant for street use. I preload them a full quarter turn without any problems.

TJ, thanks for the info. Are these normally noisey lifters then even when adjusted properly? I have been looking at z/28camaro.com and they don't have anything at all good to say about these lifters.
