Thank you i will check into that im a old timer engine guy 67 firebirds
is all i worked on but now that im old and my 94 is cool looking to me
time to hit the books.
Thank you for the help.
It could be the oil pressure sending unit. It is located above the oil filter. I am having the same problem. Oil leaking on the cat. (smoking) and coming down the oil filter and the fly wheel cover. It only leaks when the car has been driven.

The oil pressure sending unit is ***not*** located above the oil filter. That is the oil temp sensor.
I just spent the better part of this Saturday morning fixing that same oil leak on my 94. I've already resealed the intake months ago (seeing some oil behind it), however confusing as it might be, mine didn't leak running on the lift for a half an hour at idle, only after a short drive. I purchased the oil filter adapter housing seal and gasket from GM for $5.00 and after installing them I went for a two mile drive and put the car back up on the lift, so far so good. I then went for a 20 mile ride and the oil leak is now fixed. The oil temp sensor just above the oil filter adapter housing is sealed on the back side unlike the oil pressure sending unit and unless the threads are leaking I don't see how it can leak. As a veteran 35 year mechanic and transmission shop owner, I live for these problems, just wish it wasn't my car.
I have an oil leak at the intake. I put new head gaskets in my engine and new heads (AFR-220s) and a ports LT4 intake. changed intake gasket recently and it cured the oil leak for a while and now it is back. just shoot me!
Make sure to use the recommended sealer on the front and rear of the intake or you may end up with an oil leak soon after installing new intake gaskets. GM uses a grey silicone sealer, pn/12346141, comes in a small tube for the extra large gap and do clean it with brake clean first and after you install the intake let it dry at least over night.
