Is there a seperate area for header discussion? If so point me there, if not please educate me. '93, stock, cept 3.75 diff and Corsa cat back. We have tight emissions here so cats gotta stay. Havn't had headers on any car since the sixties, so kinda in the dark here. Long, short, brands. Pros and cons?
Thanks
Jim

Hands down long tubes win. However, you're location prevents you from moving the cats. Therefore, your best bet will be shroties with Random Technology OEM replacement cats. As for brand of shorties, I don't know. I'm in a part of GA that has no emissions and I am OBD2 so I have nothing to worry about anyway. I could tell you what long tubes to go with though.

Some guidelines though; get ceramic coated unless you want stainless steel. I would make sure they have standoffs for the bolts instead of just having a hole in the flange to bolt to the engine. Get 1-3/4" primary tubes if you can.

You don't need to do 'shorty" - can do long tube TPIS with Y-pipe and pre cats to hi-flow cat + exhaust... shorty's do really nothing for ya...
