Default Pacesetter shorty headers?

I was thinking about porting my stock shorty headers. Then I found a 50 state legal shorty from Pacesetter. I ordered them. I will install a new mandrel bent front Y pipe at the same time. I have a carsound cat and Magnaflow catbacks. Anyone running the Pacesetters? Any problems with install or anything else? I have ZZ4 heads with angled plugs. Should I see a performance improvement? I figured the stock shortys are restictive. I'll have 2 1/2 mandrel pipe all the way to the Magnaflow race mufflers. Here's the headers.http://performance.thepartsbin.com/b...4&brandid=3462

Hi,

I just installed the chrome/armour coated pacesetter shorty's and they look and sound great. Big weight reduction. used copper gaskets from Summit as well.

Perfect fit, no leaks. Did have to use zip ties to keep some lines out of the way because the brackets that came with were not perfect and I did not want to mess with it. The ZIP ties work great along with a cord buncher and some wrap.

Good luck!!

I wanted them chrome or ceramic coated but I only saw it in black. Did you order it that way or have them coated later?

It's called "Jet Hot" and you can find them somewhere on the CF or just google it.

You may want to compare warrenties, some coatings have a better warrenty. Also, Swain tech has a much better coating.

Autowarehouse just ran a sale on Armorcoat Pacesetter Shortie Corvette Headers and I bought a set to replace my 6 year old ones, they had cracked at the collectors on both driver and passenger side.
Whatever you do, don't wash your engine off hot, I think that's how I cracked my first set

I think they were $417 on sale

1994 LT1 base coupe.

I ordered them online and they had the choice of black painted or what they call armour/chrome coating. I chose the armour coat because I had some black painted ones on another vehicles and they flaked pretty quick and rusted.

They are just like the ones on this link:
