I trying to buy a service manual for my 85 coupe and can't decide which to get. This forum's store has a reprint of the original for $99.95 + $12 S&H and says it includes a wiring diagram. The Helms is $82 + $6.95 S&H and there is this statement in red "This manual is a copy of the original publication. It is possible that this item will be in loose-leaf format. Any wiring diagrams in the original shop/service manual are NOT reproduceable and are no longer available" Also, have also checked on ebay and there are not any 85 manuals available. Any thoughts, suggestions or recommendations?
The GM manual is excellent, especially the electrical diagnosis service manual supplement. It has the circuit diagram, wire colors, diagnosis procedure for typical problems, an explanation of how each circuit works, pictures of component locations (modules, grounds, harness splices). Two hours at the dealer exceeds the price of a new manual and you still don't have a manual. Let the moths out of your wallet!

I'll tell you what, if you get the loose leaf manual, I'll send you a digital copy of the electrical and you can print it out and stick it in there to complete the set.
The only reason I could think they're not reproducable is because they don't have a color copier.
I have a used '95 HELM FSM red version and the electrical diagrams are included in the single volume; later version of FSM (like my '88) have a separate volume for electrical diagrams.
My '88 IROC-Z FSM is the loose leaf type which is handy in that I can copy pages to take out to the car.
