I have a problem with my 85 c-4 coupe wipers. They won't always shut off with the wiper slide switch. Sometimes they will cycles numerous times and then stop and park other times they will continue until I shut off the ignition. They will then stop and park and not re-start when I re-start the engine (unless I turn the wiper switch back on). I have replace the wiper slide switch and the park switch. I have also cleaned the ground connections at the battery to frame and at the driveline tunnel near the transmission. What should I try next to get my wipers to stop when I turn off the wiper switch ?

I had the same problem on my 87. Turned out to be a faulty cover on the windshield wiper motor it's self. Took awhile to get a replacement from
Mid America but at least now I don't have to turn off the ignition switch in order to get them to stop now.
having the same problem with my 86', disconnected the motor all together cause they won't ever stop. Always have to stop when its raining and pop the hood to plug it back in pain in the butt.
seriously... I had a cracked circuitboard, and get this........hot rainy days it worked, cold rainy days it didn't. took the circuitboard out of an 89 pickup truck, compared the two, and soldered mine, and voila!!!! worky every time.
