Default LT4 Cam Questions

I want to put a cam in my LT4, but, to be honest, I don't know much about them, engines I've built have always used the cam they came with.

My main question is, what supporting mods will have to be done when going with a more aggressive cam? How much more aggressive? I have no idea.

A hotcam & longtube headers will wake up your LT4...I know it did mine.
4.10 gears are a great mod as well.

Hotcam and headers would really be all you need, you can even get by with the stock computer program on an LT4, though a custom one would do some good.

FYI: Some stock tune LT4 Hot camed LT4's will experience a misfire code. A local guy has one sitting in his garage that won't pass emissions because of the code.

Yup, it's a PO300 (Random Multiple Cylinder Misfire)

Had it w/ my car but eventually just erased the code w/ Tunercat. Car ran great but even aftera couple of re-tunes the code was still there. F'rs gone now.
