Default A4 Question

I got the Hypertech Power Programmer III and used the custom menu to increase the shift firmness. The shifts are really hard now even at part throttle, which I like, but I'm wondering if I should be concerned about premature wear on the trans? The car is a '96 LT1 with 51,000 miles and seems to be in excellent condition.

Most use them with success. I am not aware of any specific poblems caused by them. Most enjoy the mod.

Hard part throttle shifts are hard on the gear train, and not necessary. The smoother the shifts at part throttle the better, I'm not talking about long drawn out shifts, which are hard on the transmission. You want quick part throttle shifts at the most, and firm WOT shifts.
