Default Intake Gasket...

Opened my box of Fel-Pro gaskets for the intake manifold this morning. It's set # 47225. Instead of having the rear coolant ports blocked off like the old GM gaskets, it has the open ports. I don't think I can use these gaskets, am I correct?

The rear ports in the manifold are blocked, aren't they? Where will the water flow to, that it shouldn't, through the open port gaskets?

RACE ON!!!

I have been using gaskets with the passages open for a while now, they are doing well. Do a search for fel pro 1256 that should get you more information. When I askked a while back:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...oolant+passage

"small holes on stock gaskets were used to regulate flow to govern temperate.. i used the fel pro 1256, it improves coolant flow throughout the block and heads, keeping temperature more uniform.."
