Im getting to my short list of canidates to replace my current cam
on my combo listed below. At this point I also intend to run it with new
AFR 195 Eliminator heads versus the TFS 195.
I have some questions.

what valve spring will I need to control this cam?
what solid rollers do suggest?
Any problems with excessive knock retard?
Any lifter problems?
Advance ground in? Advance suggested on install?
recommended pushrods?
Headgasket recommended?

BTW I have a Bow Tie Block.

This cam is phenomenal. But the person to answer all your questions would be Corkvette1. I am running the crane extreme solid rollers with no problems.
All parts for motor & build recommended by Corky.
I will see if he will access this post & give you some answers.

Depends if 143 or 155 spring. If 143 use Kmotion K800, if 155 use Kmotion K1100 (I use these on my 383)

what solid rollers do suggest?
Either Krane or Crowler w/ force pin oiling.

Any problems with excessive knock retard? No

Any lifter problems? No

Advance ground in? Not sure
Advance suggested on install? If your 406 install 4degree adv.

recommended pushrods? Have to wait till you have lifters & heads installed for proper deck height. Expect 7.95 or 8.0 or 8.05

Headgasket recommended? We use marine head gaskets - felpro #17031

BTW I have a Bow Tie Block.
All info supplied by corky per my conversation with him.
