Default 85 700r4 shift issues

just had my trans and engine rebuilt and am still haveing problems with trans shifting. 4th gear loc-up doesn't happen till 62mph with regular acceleration, feels like losing torque, took it to tran shop and they adjusted tv cable and said to drive it and see if it comes out of it. had a buddy tell me that there is a pressure switch in the trans that might be weak. has new torque converter it was doing the same thing before the rebuild, just wondering if it could be the switch or if the ecm could have anything to do with it.

Hope our tranny guru will chime in, as far as TV cable adjustment No No.

Press the D shape button with ur thumb if its too tiht than use Screww driver or some object, while pressing D button push the ratchet button all the way back towards firewall, than press hard ur gas (while engine is off) or manually move throttle linkage going as WOT, it wil ratchet out itself towards radiator, when it stops moving just leave that way and now ur TV cable adjusted, dont mess or play with TV cable it will fry 3-4 clutch pack not over night but over the time depends how much u driving.

On my 85 with 3.54 gears, at 70 mph rpm will be 2300 w/lockup, wo lockup it will be 2500 rpm.

I assume u have stock gears and if its so, ur's are 3.07. So do the math. when ur tranny was rebuilted at the same does he changed boost valve?

But till u figure out dont play with TV cable.
