Default AARGH! Injector still leaking-help

I can't believe it. Replaced the injector that was leaking, and replaced all the o rings, new gaskets, cleaned the other injectors and when we started it up today that same injector leaked again. What is going on? Also, TPS is not working. Put a new one on and nothing. I'll admit it, I'm throwing money when I don't know what is the problem. Noticed today that there is a little white/blue smoke coming from the left exhaust (same side as the leaking injector) and a little fluid. I'm at the mercy of the corvette devil. Did I mention this is and 85? I'm brain fried right now.

The one in the trash can leaked or the one you replaced it with leaked? What brand did you replace it with? Some of them are problematic.

Are you priming the fuel rail with it lifted off the intake, with paper underneath each injector tip to check for leaks?

All I could say is you got a defective injector. If you don't mind having the car down for a few days I'd send them all off to be cleaned and flowtested by Rich at Cruizinperformance.com. They'll come back good as new for about $100.

The only way you can see an injector leak on the car with it running is if it's leaking from the upper oring. This would be a bad fire hazard and has nothing to do with the injector. Just make sure the fuel rail is clean of burrs and gouges and lube up the new oring with oil and shove the injector in there. The retainer clips aren't necessary but can't hurt.

The new injector was a BWD from OReilly's. We did the all the rest of that. When you look at the injector it's wet and it smells of fuel. None of the others are doing that. We used the o ring that came with the injector but put new on all the others. FPR seems fine, not wet. It does seem to be leaking at the fuel rail but it looked fine when we had it apart. I'm going to take it tomarrow and have it put on the computer.
