Default question about changing calipers on an 84

I am replacing a rear caliper and all is going well until I go to remove the brake fluid line, and realize the hose is maybe welded on or something, but it doesnt come off so that I can place it over the new caliper, anyone know what i'm talking about and know what I need to do?

ah, ok ignore that, i looked again and it was just really stuck and dirt made it look fused. but since I have this thread already started I have a silly question, where can I get a washer for it? The book says I need one, the new caliper hardware didn't come with one, but it looks like there is a brass colored one on the old caliper, but it is so jammed on it that it wont come off, if it even comes off.

Yes, the crush washers on either side of the banjo fitting are copper.

Most autoparts stores will have the crush washers. (Most of the idiots working the counter don't know that though.) So bring in some used ones and show them. They can be reused a few times but eventually just get squished too damn much.

I didn't realize they crush, I went to orielys, which I'm beginning to think they don't know anything if that computer doesnt tell them. They gave me some hard washer, which I used, but I guess I'm going to have to pull it and start over. I couldnt even pry the washer out of my old caliper to try to reuse. And finally I think its really crappy that they don't include one in the new caliper hardware.
