On the 84-90 vettes, is there an additional pair of 'third brake light' wires near the rear bumper? I did a 91-96 bumper conversion, and I thought I could steel one of the brake leads off the tail lamps but they blink when the turn signal is applied.
I don't really want to have to backtrace the original wires to the high mount stop if I don't have to.
The third brake light has a separate wire running from the brake light switch to the light assembly. The vert and coupe have differences in the rear body wiring harness due to the location of components.
The wire coming off the brake light switch for the third brake light is light blue. You will have to find that wire in the harness and run it to the 'vert bumper fascia.

Where is the brake light switch? You don't mean the switch at the pedal right, I'm assuming you mean a box somewhere along the line??
Do you mind answering another question for me. I have 3 bulbs in the front. One in the crash bar, and two in the market. One is a small 194, the other is a dual filiment in the crash bar, and a single in the marker lamp. What is the correct 'operation' of these lights? Cuz mine are.. not doing the right thing I don't think, and I'm not sure why...
