Anyways, I need the supercondom thingy that goes between the car and the ZF6, mine is ripped in half and I'm about to do a clutch, B&M, redline boot, driveshaft u-joints, and other misc. underbody maintenance.
So this made me think,
"Where does a guy get parts #'s for obscure stuff?"
Are they in the factory service manual?

You get friendly with the local GM parts guy - that's what I did.
I think you'll have a hard time finding that part - a junkyard might be your best bet. From what I remember you couldn't get just that part from GM - you had to get the whole shifter mechanism.
Or you could just wait until your tranny breaks and buy a new tranny - again that's what I did.
FIRST TIME MY RUBBER BROKE it cost me $200.000 over a 20 year time period, now thats the reason I had to wait so long before buying my first Corvette. BROKE RUBBERS are expensive.!!!!!!
The first time my rubber broke was just after paid for my first real car. Not only did the rubber break but I had that Z28 going sideways out of the car lot. The sales man had to jump out of the way.
