Default Ls2/4l65e conversion

Hello folks!!

I have a LT 1 auto, 96 56k miles , considering engine swap, ls2 or 383/425 SBC crate engine. Would like to keep fuel injection, better exhaust.
love gobs of low end torque. Strickly street. All feed back welcome.

what is your opinion?

don't bother. the conversion on a later car is just too much trouble.

build the LT1. Build the 4L60E. Hell, sell that and get an LT4/ZF6.

either have your current motor built or you can do the swap and I believe we can get the stock IP to work.
I'll need to put my words into practice though with my swap that will occur sometime this year.
Started off buying parts like gangbusters only to have my funds pulled back a bit by reality.

Have to slow my motor build down a bit so later this summer or fall I'll start pulling my motor/trans once the LS6 I bought is built and ready to put in

stock IP is only a fraction of the issue... what about the ABS and ASR?

if I port in the VSR data and the ecbm reads rest of sensors I think ABS should work. Dunno about ASR, but tbh ASR sux anyway. I could do without it. I'll keep it if I can, but I won't be heartbroken if I can't

the ASR is the cool. It keeps minor highway and street incidents from becoming major. I use it on the street all the time. And around here (LA, CA), whenever it rains, the roads are slicker than ice.

You won't get the ASR working, but the ABS might. Your best bet would be to swap to an earlier computer.

The VSS on the LTx is different, too. It sends a different signal. I don't remember the specs right now.

you are lucky that Indy doesn't have emission testing...

FAST piggy back will allow for proper CCM operation? Is the FAST the engine controller? Talk to me.
