Hi all....

I've already run some searches in the hopes of finding an answer to this question. Lots of information on c5's and c6's, but did not find anything on a c4.

My question is this: Will 275/40r18's fit at all four corners of a 1992 coupe? Has anyone done this and if so, were there rubbing issues?

Thanks very in advance for any help you are able to provide.

I believe you'd want 275/35/18's, no?

I believe your '92 came with 275/40 17 tires. These tires would have an overall diameter of approx. 25.7 inches.

To compare:
275/40 18 = approx. 26.7 inches
275/35 18 = approx. 25.7 inches

As you can see the 275/35 18 would be the best choice when moving up to an 18 inch rim. This would keep your speedometer accurate also.

Not sure if the 275/40 18 would cause any rubbing issues or not, but since it's an inch taller it might.

Tons of people run 275-40-18 (stock C5 rear) on the C4. Most of them in the rear, but some on all four corners. Never heard of a problem.

My '92 had 275/40/18s on the car when I bought it. It did rub in the front. When I bought new tires I went with 285/35/18s and there have been no rubbing.
