Keyless Entry!!

My keyless entry system only unlock the driver door, tried to cycle the system by holding the button on the FOB while the key is in the ingnition. but only the driver door cycle. Am I doing the programming right.

Preety sure thats the correct procedure, the key has to be in the "off" position tho..... :cheers:

the key is in the off position but only the driver side door cycle while programming..thanks for the help. :confused:

I don't have my manual here but I programed my 93 to unlock-or lock both doors and it works just great that way. :D :D :D

Programming is irrelevant to your problem. There is a keyless entry antenna in each door. Try checking wire connections.

the passenger door will unlock using the door button on the FOB. :confused:

Did you remove the key from the key ring/fob before you tried to program it? I tried to program mine with the key in the ignition and the key fob attached and it didn't work. When I separated the key from the fob and held the fob up away from the dash, it worked. Maybe the signal from the fob is not reaching the antenna in the door?

i put it on my 88 for about 110 bucks and ~3 1/2 hours, and a 6 pack of beer :) i bought the kit from gm, VKE 1000, i dont have the part number at the moment, i will get it for you later.
